Michael has loved Emily for years. He knows she can’t tolerate him, but he can hardly blame her for that—he can barely tolerate himself. But he has cultivated his image very carefully, and his profession requires he keep up the disguise. He knows he can never reveal his true self to Emily, just as he can never honestly pursue her. It’s just that he also can’t keep himself away. A Clever Disguise is a charming, quick little book that regency lovers will not want to miss. The story is entertaining, with just enough mystery to tantalize, and the characters are endearing from the get-go. Though there is no overt faith theme, there is also nothing
in A Clever Disguise that Christians would take issue with, making this a
light, clean romance that it was pure pleasure to pass an afternoon with. I
thoroughly enjoyed the story and look forward to more titles from Kathleen
Fuller. |
