First of all I really liked the title and sub-title! From the very first sentence, I fell in love with Stina Wilson’s writing style. She has an incredible gift of being able to “tell it how it is” while expressing some profound truths. The first thing that struck me was that she chose to use multiple versions of the Bible for scripture references. Often when we use just one translation, the awe and the full meaning gets lost. This book could help in any unhealthy relationship, not only with a boyfriend but also with friends and even family. It’s a really good resource for a young woman whose identity is measured by her appearance, abilities, accomplishments or the opinions of the people around her. The author is not scared of looking fallible or weak, which made her more real to me. The way she used her own life to illustrate points was powerful. She uses incredible analogies. I won’t ruin it for you, but the wedding to Christ scene made me cry. If you want to know why…Well, pick it up!! I read this the same day I received it, it’s that good. I’m looking forward to more books from this author! Publisher: Kregel
