City of the Dead
By T. H. Higley
Review by Rebekka Ramirez

I was ecstatic to get my copy of City of the Dead. Can I tell you, you are in for a ride! T.H. Higley has done it again! She takes the reader to the desert of Egypt, where secrets, romance and murder all collide.

I was intrigued by this story because Higley made history come alive for me. The main character, Hemiunu, was the Grand Vizier and the architect of the Great Pyramids at Giza. You are drawn into a murder case that Heminunu is desperate to solve. Someone or something is desperate to uncover a secret tragedy that has been buried for years. The whole city is plagued by fear, thinking that the whole city has been cursed.

Who is the murderer and what is their motive? Deception, forgiveness and mystery, this is a book that you won’t soon forget!
