DEAR LORD, I FEEL LIKE A WHALE

By Jane Bullivant
Review by Laura V. Hilton

DEAR LORD, I FEEL LIKE A WHALE is written for those moms-to-be in both the early months and those at the “it’s due any moment now” period. Ms. Bullivant addresses everything from conception to life after the birth. She tackles such issues such as:

Praying for your unborn child

Coping with hormone swings

Keeping in touch with your partner

Dealing with the fear of childbirth or miscarriage

Maintaining your self-respect

Managing your priorities

--as well as much more. As the mom of three, Ms. Bullivant has proven herself knowledgeable in these areas.

When reading the book, some of the British turns of phrase were rather confusing to me as an American. I also wish I would have actually picked up this book to read when I was pregnant instead of now when my baby is six months old.

Ms. Bullivant shares stories from her own pregnancy as well as other women’s experiences and ties it all in with Scripture references. Pick up DEAR LORD, I FEEL LIKE AWHALE for your favorite pregnant woman today. She’ll be sure to appreciate it. $12.95.  191 pages.
