Jerome Teel has penned a worthy addition to the ever expanding market of faith-based legal thrillers. Vice-President Ed Burke has long had his eyes on the Presidency, and he is so close he can taste it. His opponent, Mac Foster, is a faithful Christian who believes God is leading him to be the next President. In order to ensure victory, Vice-President Burke joins force with the Federalists, a trio of power-hungry men who are secretly planning to take over the country. They will stop at nothing to make sure their man wins. Meanwhile, in Jackson, Tennessee, attorney Jake Reed stumbles across some information that could affect the outcome of the presidential election. He then finds himself in the middle of danger and conspiracy as he searches for the truth, all the while struggling with his own personal faith. This is an impressive debut novel from Jerome Teel. While the plot is complex and multi-layered, Teel effortlessly carries the reader along for an entertaining ride. The narrative is told form multiple viewpoints that take us deeper into the characters and the story itself. The Election is filled with the perfect amount of suspense and action that will hold your attention until the end. Teel also effectively weaves themes of faith throughout the story. Christianity is not thrown in our faces, but it is introduced in just the right amount of doses to make us think about our own spiritual lives. This is a great start to what will surely be a bright career for Jerome Teel. Publisher: Howard Books Buy it now from our affiliate Bookstore CrossPurposesBooks.com |
