The Harbor Light is a fun story for children ages 5 and up. We read about a little lighthouse who wants to be accepted by a powerful speed boat. The boat convinces the lighthouse that his light is not cool and that the only way he will play with him is if the lighthouse turns off his light. In the course of this story we see what happens when we give in to peer pressure and how we should always do what we were created to do. This book is pleasing to the ear as well as the eyes with not only a fun story but bright and cheery illustrations. It is a book I won’t mind having to read over and over and over again to my young grandchildren. Hope this reminds everyone to let there light shine!
How I Pray for my Friends is a wonderful book for children 4-8 years old. It is wonderfully written and illustrated with bright pictures of fun looking characters and a truly wonderful message. I think this book is a wonderful tool to use in teaching our kids how to pray, as well as what they can pray for. Erik tells us how he prays for his friends, for their hurts and their needs and even how he prays for Todd who isn’t always so nice. Erik tells us how he also prays that his friends will ask Jesus into their hearts because he knows that is the only way they will get to heaven. A delightful book. This grandmother looks forward to reading this to her little princesses. Both available from Kregel Kidzone The Harbor Light
