DeDe agrees to take a leave of absence from her chocolate company in order to take a road trip cross-country. She’s about to turn fifty, and is on the run from a relationship gone sour. She and her friends, Lydia, who was recently widowed, and Millie, a divorcee, have to save their old Bible Camp from closing, and it’s a great time to get away from their problems as well. So these Baby Boomers and their pet bird board a decrepit old RV named Millie, and head off for the Wild Blue Yonder. Fraught with mishaps from day one, their trip is laced with hot flashes, hilarious minor accidents, and even an impromptu trip to the veterinarian, as these sometimes cantankerous girls try to get to their destination of Aspen Creek. Moose, motorcycle gangs and minor flooding do not dissuade them from their goal of saving their camp. There, they reunite with old friends and great memories, and make some surprising new ones as they work to keep Aspen Creek Bible Camp from closing. Through it all, their friendships and faith in God is strengthened as they overcome their hardships, while sweetened with DeDe’s signature chocolate truffles and a promise of things to come.
